Responsibilities:

As a full-time occupational therapist with Back Bay Speech & Occupational Therapy, you will play a crucial role in the identification, diagnosis, and therapy of children with sensory fine motor, handwriting, and feeding disorders. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of pediatric outpatient experience, excluding clinical practicum, showcasing a strong foundation in the field.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments to determine the individual needs of each child.
  • Developing and implementing effective treatment plans tailored to each child’s unique profile.
  • Providing direct therapeutic services in the child’s home environment, fostering a comfortable and supportive setting for optimal progress.
  • Collaborating with parents, teachers, and relevant professionals to ensure cohesive and effective intervention.
  • Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of treatment sessions, progress notes, and data collection.
  • Offering consultative services as needed to support the overall well-being of the child.

Qualifications:

  • Developing and implementing customized treatment plans tailored to each child’s unique needs and goals.

  • Collaborating closely with parents, caregivers, educators, and other professionals to ensure coordinated and effective intervention.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) and state licensure in speech-language pathology.
  • Experience working with pediatric populations preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Strong clinical skills in the assessment and treatment of speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for building rapport with children and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
